Best of 2009 – Restaurant Moment

This one is a bit of a stumper. We didn’t eat anywhere exemplary – or out of the ordinary.

That said, there was one moment that stands out for me.

Megan and I were in Rhode Island doing wedding prep sometime in July. We’d gone to see Brian for a hair and makeup consult for Megan, and I was a bit beside myself. Just looking at her made me tear up.

We headed to Blaze, not an unusual dinner location for post-hair primping with Brian, and even though Brian and his boyfriend were there, Megan and I might as well have been there alone. I couldn’t stop staring at her.

So… it has very little to do with the location, or the food and drink, but it certainly stands out as a moment burned into my mind – and since it happened in a restaurant, it’s now a part of my Best of 2009 – as my most favorite restaurant moment.
