The lot has been selected.

The house model has been chosen.

The paint, elevation, and finishes have been mulled over, and ultimately chosen.

New furniture, current house

We even have new furniture, courtesy of American Furniture Warehouse, who, after 4 months of calls to customer service, finally caved to my will and allowed us to reselect in place of the busted stuff we had. (Note, I’m very pleased with the new furniture, which will go very nicely in our new living room!)

We went out to the development the other day, and they’re still leveling and preparing the area.

Word is they won’t break ground on our lot until sometime in June. And then it’s 4-ish months until we’re in.

So maybe October. Seriously, I’m not sure if I can wait that long.

Like the cool people, the flexible environment, and, oh, AN IPAD.

That’s right folks. In case you weren’t already burning with jealousy over my sweet gig of a deal, working from home, for a fantastic company, it’s time to green with envy.

We all got iPads.

A scathingly brilliant move by our C-Level staff. Mine’s here. Now I have to figure out what the hell to do with it. Other than stare and drool.

Going back to my Mac-unpacking roots. I’m on medication so no wine to celebrate. But ain’t she pretty?

It’s in Parker. Or as they say around here: out in Parker.

As I understand it, Parker is the Barrington of the Denver metro area (for the Rhode Islanders in the crowd.)

So far we’ve signed some documents and picked out the major elements: size and shape, paint and tile and carpet and linoleum, countertops, cabinets… the list goes on.

Megan even let me get one of those newfangled touch on/off faucets for the kitchen.

We (as of now) break ground in June, which puts us living in the house sometime in October.

It’s pretty damn exciting around here. More as the process progresses…

It’s big. But it’s maybe one of my favorite things about the film. I mean, he can FLY and it still looks perfect.

No, I don’t really want it… we have a real fireplace and what I really want is a chimney sweep to come and clean it so we can use it without burning the house down. But this is pretty damn pretty…

Megan has a dog, George.  He’s cute, but he’s too big for something like this.  But it’s pretty awesome.  I could almost go for a tiny dog just so I could construct a bed for it…
