I was having a little peek at some of the new functionality in my Gmail the other day and noticed something at the bottom of the page. Now, I don’t know if it is new functionality or if it’s been there all along and I’ve just failed to notice it, but it is brilliant.
Details
Scroll to the bottom of your Gmail and notice that little Details link.

Click it.
You’ll get a nice readout of the last few times your account has been accessed, from where (by IP address) and the opportunity to sign out of all of the other places where you might have accidentally signed in.
Signing Out
On my screen, you can see that I am also signed in at home, and my BlackBerry has accessed the account. The BlackBerry will re-connect when I need it to, so I don’t have to worry about that one.
And no big deal about being logged in at home, I live alone. But I might care. I might be at home and have left myself signed in at work. Or at a friend’s. Or at Kinko’s… the library… whatever.
Now, you can safely remove access your account from anyone who shouldn’t be privy.
Google is my hero.
