I Have a Hump

The massage therapist says it is a thoracic hump. (That would be figure 2.B down there…)

He says I can get rid of it by doing this:

  • keeping my shoulders down (apparently they are not made to be earrings)
  • making my lower back curve properly, thereby sticking out my ass
  • not walking with my feet pronated (do you have any idea how hard it is to correct this after 31 years of walking with my feet a little bit turned out?)

He says 6-12 months until it’s gone.  If I do the above things every single day.  I take full responsibility for the hump… we shall see if I can make it go away…

  • Thanks Portside. One day I might try yoga... I do enjoy your posts about your experience.
  • You could probably also try some Iygengar yoga...those yogis are sticklers for alignment.
