A Question of Perspective

No Good Pajamas

by Elisa Hebert on January 5, 2009

in Oy!

My good pajamas, the ones I like the best, are at the airport.  Or on a transport van.  But for the second night in a row, they are not on my body, which makes me decidedly unhappy.

Southwest Airlines, for the second time in just over a year, has lost my luggage.

And my favorite pajamas are in there.

SWA called three times today.  The first time at 11a to tell me they didn’t know where my stuff was.  The second time, to tell me they had my bag (at 3p) and they would drop it off at my office, some time between 4-8.  Um, no.  I go home by 6p.  I won’t be hanging around to get my luggage.  So they said they’d put it on the 6p shuttle and deliver to my parents’ house (where I currently live.)  I was very clear with them on the address… and the fact that GPS systems often can’t find it.  I told her the cross street.  I told her the number.

And then they called again.  8:58p.  They took the bag to #15.  I’m at #95.  Um, really?

They wanted to put the bag on the 10p transport.  Which has a 4 hour window.  Except there is no way I’m staying up until 2a waiting for my damn bag, after getting home at close to that time last night… due to the lost luggage.

So they’re dropping it off at my office tomorrow.  Supposedly.

I think this is the end of my SWA relationship.  It think JetBlue will be my new BFF.

Because I like my pajamas.  And my sleep.
