A Question of Perspective

P90X

Megan and I have started the P90X workout routine.

We took the before pictures on August 1, 2009, and did the measurements. I’ll share my measurements now, but the photos – you only get to see the before if I’m really psyched with the after. :)

You’ll notice that we re-started on September 3, 2009… after we returned from the wedding we decided to do it whole-boat, diet plan and all. That and the whirlwind RI tour caused a big [fat] skew in the weight category. We’ll do it this way for 10 weeks, until we leave for Hawaii on our honeymoon in November.

Update: I did the diet for the first phase and part of the second and wasn’t seeing the results I wanted, so I’ve returned to calorie counting. My mood is certainly better (something about the small victory of control over my food makes me feel better about the world), and I’ve managed to avoid reverting to the fruit-a-holic issue I’d had before that  had my blood sugar all over the place.

I’ll be writing weekly posts that outline what we did and how we felt.

I’m also doing the crazy diet that comes along with the workout. I’ll be tracking my weight.
