Unbelievably Yummy Chocolate Chip Cookies

(That’s the really original name I gave them when I recorded the recipe in my notebook.)

1.5 cups rolled oats

1/2 lb softened butter

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp salt

12 oz chocolate chips

4 oz grated semi-sweet chocolate

1.5 cups chopped walnuts

Preheat to 350. Chop oats in food processor until fine, then take them out and chop the walnuts until fine. Cream butter and two sugars in mixer for three minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. Separately mix flour, oats, baking powder and salt. Mix dry ingredients into butter/sugar/eggs with a spatula. Add chocolate chips, grated chocolate and nuts. Bake 14-15 minutes. Cool on the sheet for two minutes.
